Western Landscape Painting-Canyons and Rivers

I grew up just South of the Grand Canyon and visited it countless times as a child and as an adult. I have hiked many of its trails and feel very fortunate to have been raised in such a glorious environment.

Canyons and Rivers go hand in hand. A large part of the grandeur of the Four Corners region of the Southwest is contained in the vast variety of canyons. The land is continually being  carved out by the permanent rivers and the seasonal streams. I have viewed canyons from the top and the bottom, from extreme dryness to exquisite riparian areas hidden away. They never fail to enchant me.

The light in canyon country is ever changing and I never tire of finding new vistas at different times of day and in different seasons.
